The Wallachia Digital Innovation Center eHub benefits from the support of regional support structures

On February 9th, 2023, the official launch of the Wallachia eHub – DIGITAL INNOVATION HUB (WEH), ID 101083410, Call DIGITAL-2021-EDIH-01 took place at the headquarters of the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești. The founding members of the Wallachia Hub cluster consortium agreed to carry out the project and recommended that the founding cluster members also benefit from it, as long as they express interest. They also proposed that the international conference InnopRo – Innovation Pathways Romania, organized under the auspices of the Wallachia Hub cluster consortium, be included in this project as an annual event specific to the WEH Summit for the next 3 years. This year, the event will take place on November 16-17 in Sinaia.

The project was supported by the South-Muntenia Regional Development Agency, which presented the project’s synergies with the calls for projects that will be carried out by the agency in the coming period. The agency invited members of the Wallachia eHub consortium to participate in the caravan organized by the institution for the beneficiaries in the South-Muntenia region.

Furthermore, the synergies of the WEH project with the European Enterprise Network (EEN), the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (SUERD), national digitization projects such as the Human Capital Operational Programme “Highly Skilled Employees, Competitive Enterprises!” and other Horizon Europe projects regarding precision agriculture (Agroecology-TRANSECT and Organic Target4EU) were presented. The attending members, both physically and online, appreciated the project and committed to disseminating it among their members and at the regional level.

During the discussions that followed, the attendees contributed ideas regarding aspects related to the digital and visual identity of the project, as well as ways to attract beneficiaries’ interest in the project by connecting digital solutions that will contribute to a more comprehensive regional offer.

The event was attended by representatives of cluster structures (CERMAND Cluster, Bio Concept Valea Prahovei, Danube Engineering Hub, Elinclus Cluster), universities (Valahia University in Târgoviște, Petrol-Gaze University in Ploiești), academic staff, companies, chambers of commerce (CCI Prahova ,CCI Dâmbovița), public authorities (Prahova Prefecture).

“The meeting demonstrated an increased interest in the digital transformation of business environment associative structures, clusters, chambers of commerce, local authorities, and companies that participated in the discussions and provided constructive proposals. We are also pleased with the interest and contribution of ADR Muntenia to the event,” said Prof. Dr. Costin Lianu, the project coordinator.
