It is our pleasure to invite you, on September the 23rd, at the Breaza City Hall (Prahova County), to celebrate together the concept of ecological production, a type of sustainable agriculture which offers food production carried out in harmony with nature, biodiversity and animal welfare. We see the celebration of this day as an excellent opportunity to raise public awareness of organic production and promote the key role it plays in the transition to sustainable food systems.
Organic production brings important benefits: organically cultivated fields have around 30% more biodiversity, organically raised animals enjoy a higher degree of welfare and require fewer antibiotics, organic farmers have higher incomes and are more resilient, and consumers know exactly what they are getting!
Inter-Bio Association in collaboration with Breaza City Hall celebrates the EUROPEAN ORGANIC DAY, by organizing a seminar about the role of education, knowledge, research and innovation in the promotion of ecological agriculture, where also ecological products will be available to the public. Producers, farmers, consumers and representatives of public authorities and the academic and research environment will participate in the opening of the event. The workshop-debate covers the following topics:
- Stimulating and promoting the consumption of ecological products in the country and abroad. Solutions to support promotion through education, innovation and local knowledge
- Wallachia Organics initiative – Launch Center of knowledge , education and INNOVATION in agroecology
- Development of communities of practice through projects in the field of organic agriculture, within the OrganicTargets4EU projects and Agroecology-TRANSECT . Digitization solutions in agriculture offered through the Wallachia eHub project\
We invite organic operators, regional, national or local actors to join us to make this day a success in celebrating the movement and showing the success of organic farming to regenerate European agriculture and to reconcile agriculture with nature!
European Green Day is the ideal opportunity to take stock of how Europe is achieving its target of 25% organic land under organic management by 2030, trends in consumer demand, organic awareness in the supply chain and the implementation of the EU Green Action Plan.
