Blockchain technology allows peer-to-peer transactions to take place transparently and without the need for an intermediary such as a bank (such as for cryptocurrencies) or an intermediary in the agricultural sector. By eliminating the need for a central authority, technology is changing the way trust is given – instead of trusting an authority, trust is placed in peer-to-peer cryptography and architecture. Thus, it helps to restore trust between producers and consumers, which can reduce transaction costs in the agri-food market. The purpose of the meeting is to create a platform, AGRIBLOCK” of applied researchers and possible users of a project , able to apply for funding. The project is initiated by Inter-Bio, interprofessional association for organic farmers together with partners in regional digital hubs “Smart eHub” and Wallachia eHub”. The main interest of Inter-Bio is to connect this technology with the specific system of organic certification. THE DIGITAL SOLUTIONS ARE DEDICATED TO :
- Organic farmers, processers, traders, consumers
